English Translation of Al-Quran
[7]. Surah Al-Araaf [The Heights]
Ayat 184. Do they not reflect? There is no madness in their companion (Muhammad
) . He is but a plain warner.
Ayat 185. Do they not look in the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all things that Allah has created, and that it may be that the end of their lives is near. In what message after this will they then believe?
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas`ud
reported: I can still recall as if I am seeing the Messenger of ALLAH resembling one of the Prophets whose people scourged him and shed his blood, while he wiped blood from his face, he said: "O ALLAH! Forgive my people, because they certainly do not know".
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Lesson:
As mentioned above in Surah Al-Araaf Ayat185. "and that it may be that the end of their lives is near. In what message after this will they then believe?" Some link Prophet in above Hadith as Hazrat Nuh (PBUH), and some Ulema's research point it to the last Messenger of ALLAH (Muhammad . Also it mentions the refined character and compassion of the Prophets which has an important lesson for those who preach righteousness. They should be always prepared to face hardships involved in inviting people to the right path and, instead of retaliation, forgive their audience and pray for their guidance. These noble qualities are extremely important for those who are devoted to preach religion. .
