For any Asghar lover, the following three ghazals can just not be ignored. The first is a Na'at in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhemmed (Peace Be Upon Him), which is a true work of art itself. While most Naats are usually around 7-10 verses in length, this one has twenty one verses. In this Naat, one can feel Asghar's love and rescpect for the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) flowing through the verses. The Naat ends at the verse of Maulana Jalal -ud- Din Rumi (known more populary as Maulvi in Iran).
The second ghazal titled "Be-Khabarii (Ignorance)" and the third one titled sirr-e-fanaa(Key to Self-Annihilation) are beautiful continous ghazals and are truly representative of Asghar's approach towards life. In both of these ghazals, Asghar is at the apex of his imagery and rendition. These can be easily compared to that of the works of any Urdu poet.
While Asghar's work comprises of Nishaat e Rooh (Bliss of the Soul) and Sarood e Zindagi (Song of Life), the eminence of his work differentiate him from other Urdu Poets. And while his work is miniature as compared with the works of other Classical poets such as Ghalib and Mir Taqi Mir who have thousands of verses, the superiority of Aghar's work makes it out.
