English Translation of Al-Quran
[7]. Surah Al-Araaf [The Heights]
Ayat 189. It is He Who has created you from a single person (Adam), and (then) He has created from him his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], in order that he might enjoy the pleasure of living with her. When he had sexual relation with her, she became pregnant and she carried it about lightly. Then when it became heavy, they both invoked ALLAH
, their Lord (saying): "If You give us a Salih (good in every aspect) child, we shall indeed be among the grateful."
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Umm Salamah
reported: I asked Messenger of ALLAH 
, "Would I be rewarded for what I spend on Abu Salamah's sons? For I can't let them go here and there (to beg people).'' Messenger of ALLAH replied, "Spend on them and you will be rewarded for what you spend on them".
[Al-Bukhari Hadith # 1467 & Muslim Hadith # 1001].
Lesson:
As mentioned above in Surah Al-Araaf Ayat 189 "in order that he might enjoy the pleasure of living with her". Although parents spend money on their children out of their natural love for them, ALLAH is so Gracious that He not only rewards them for it, but He gives it in greater proportion than what they spend on other meritorious items.
